Thomas Rhett reunites with his famous dad for a performance you won’t soon forget YouTube

Without question, Thomas Rhett is a huge country star. While his dad, Rhett Akins, is beyond proud of everything Thomas has accomplished, it’s not like success is a foreign thing to the man.

You see, Rhett was a huge country star in ’90s with hits like “That Ain’t My Truck.”

At a concert in Georgia on April 15, it was Thomas that invited his old man onstage. The two strapped on guitars and teamed up on dad’s biggest hit.

After that, Thomas surprised his audience letting them know even if they don’t know his dad’s music, they do know his songs.

Having made the transformation from artist to songwriter, Rhett Akins is the man behind a number of hits by Chase Rice, Brantley Gilbert, Dustin Lynch, Lee Brice and Billy Currington, as well as Luke Bryan’s current hit “Huntin’, Fishin’ and Lovin’ Every Day.”

After the introduction, the two came together once more on one of Rhett Akins’ biggest songwriting hits, Blake Shelton’s “Boys ‘Round Here.”
