We are officially on baby watch as Thomas Rhett and wife Lauren await the arrival of their second daughter, scheduled to make her debut early next month. But before they settled down to nest in Nashville, the couple, along with precious daughter No. 1 Willa Gray and members of their families, hit the beach for a family vacation in Florida.
Before they made it to the ocean, they headed less south to explore Thomas Rhett’s south Georgia roots. Lauren shared an artfully romantic image on her Instagram page of what appears to be live oaks dripping with Spanish moss.
Lauren also shared a sunset family portrait that made us all giggle, especially with her caption: “I know it’s hard to tell, but I’m in the middle…😳”
Lauren’s sister, Lindsay, who is just as stunning as Mrs. Akins, also got a fun family photo.
Of course, little Willa had a ball, playing in the water with her extra buoyant mama acting as her float.
While Willa had a nice dinner of chicken tenders and fries with her family, it was really just the sauce that she was interested in.
Daddy Thomas did have to slip away for work for a bit, but he got to celebrate his newest No. 1, “Craving You,” at the beach.

Because it's vacation and Craving you is the number 1 song in the country and God is so good! Thank you @marenmorris for making this song so amazing and for blessing us with your voice. (CONGRATS ON GETTING ENGAGED!) Also, thank you to everyone at country radio for your continued support! Love you guys. Cheers🍾Advertisement
And date night never looked as romantic as it does with Thomas Rhett and Lauren paddling in the sunset surrounded by dolphins.
Who says there are no real-life fairy tales?
The Akins family is now back in Nashville and readying for the arrival of baby girl No. 2. And while most of us would bemoan the end of vacation, it hasn’t bothered Willa Gray at all. In fact, when her daddy shared an Instagram Story of their first day back home, Willa was a blur of excited, happy goodness as she danced around the house.
Welcome home, Akins family!
