Thomas Rhett and his wife, Lauren Akins, have gone through some insane life changes in the past year. As fans know, the couple welcomed two new girls with the adoption of their daughter Willa Gray and the birth of their second daughter, Ada James, shortly after.
So far, it looks like they’re keeping their senses of humor despite the crazy demands of now having two little ones in the house. Just check out this video Thomas shot for proof.
He’s using a filter that makes Lauren’s mouth look incredibly huge when she’s talking. It’s obvious Thomas didn’t ask for permission as Lauren can be heard saying, “I can tell that the phone is on me! Stop!”
Thomas plays around, asking, “OK, I’ll stop. Tell me one more time!”
Poor Lauren just lays her head on the table. It’s not fair to mess with a new mom like that, Thomas!
It sure was entertaining to watch, and more than 1.3 million folks have now seen the post on Instagram since it was posted on Jan. 20. The comments on the clip are hysterical, too.
Fan @Delaneywasmuth said, “This … this is why we have the internet.” And @16mom12 understands why Lauren was getting a little fed up being videotaped. She says, “I would smack my husband, then laugh with him.”
Thomas’s caption on the video, “Love you 😍,” is downright adorable as well. It’s important for couples to have fun times together, and Thomas and Lauren definitely have that part of their relationship on lock.
Of course, we’re always scouring Thomas and Lauren’s socials for any sight of those babies.
Thomas hasn’t written about his love affair with Lauren in a lot of his songs, but his latest hit, “Marry Me,” tells what might have happened if he hadn’t worked up the courage to ask her out and make her his girl.
It’s a heartbreaking song, and the video adds yet another twist to the story.
“Marry Me” is the latest single from Thomas’s album, “Life Changes,” which is up for Best Country Album at this Sunday night’s Grammy Awards. Tune in to the show starting at 7:30 p.m. ET on CBS to see if Thomas takes the Grammy gold.
Also, look for Thomas to continue supporting his new project with the “Life Changes Tour” on the road this summer.
