Although retail seems to start Christmas before we’ve even carved our Thanksgiving turkeys, a lot of people don’t recognize the official start of the holiday until Christmas Eve. And they celebrate the season of Jesus’ birth by going to their church’s holiday service. Even Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani marked the blessed event by attending mass.

And, of course, Gwen brought her three precious boys — Kingston, Zuma and Apollo.

One of Blake and Gwen’s friends/fans shared a video on her Instagram page of the pair as they left mass on Christmas Eve, and it’s really pretty precious. All are dressed up for church with Blake in jeans, a dark shirt, and blazer, while the ever-stylish Gwen is in a leopard print jacket, sweater, leggings and super cute heels. Kingston and Zuma are in suits and bow ties, and even little Apollo is in a tiny suit, minus the tie. And we’re seeing a whole lot of smiles, too.

The precious part isn’t as much about what they’re wearing as it is how they interact. Blake puts his arm around Zuma, as they start toward their car, but they all stop for a moment on the steps for a fan who requests a picture. As they continue to their SUV, you can see Kingston appear to wave at a friend and Blake searching Gwen’s purse to unlock the car so the family can get in.

Seems like the best possible way to start the holiday, doesn’t it?

Of course, Blake, Gwen and her boys then had a very merry Christmas that included some big surprises back at home, but it wasn’t without everyone celebrating the reason for the season first.

It looks like Blake may be extending his holiday through January. His tour calendar isn’t showing any dates until after Valentine’s Day, and the next season of “The Voice” won’t begin until later in the spring. But boy are we looking forward to that kicking off. We’re excited to see Kelly Clarkson join the team of coaches for the hit reality show, and we’re also expecting that the “American Idol” winner may give her good pal, Blake, a run for his money.

But mostly we’re expecting to get a truckload of giggles out of this season. Remember, Kelly’s husband, Brandon Blackstock, is also Blake’s manager, so 2018 could be a little uncomfortable for the country music executive … whether he’s forced to choose sides or, like the rest of us, is doubled over laughing.
