This Team Blake favorite on “The Voice” took everybody to church with this breakthrough performance YouTube/The Voice

Mary Sarah has long been a Team Blake favorite on Season 10 of “The Voice.” Yet, it wasn’t until the May 9 episode of the singing competition show that the aspiring country singer started to really demonstrate the star power needed to get her all the way to the top.

Mary Sarah performed Maren Morris’ “My Church” and impressed the coaches with her maturity and voice.

“I felt like that performance is probably your best connection to a song… It seemed like that was actually your record,” “The Voice” coach Pharrell said.

“I’m so freaking happy right now,” Blake added, already on a high from his collaboration of his song “Go Ahead and Break My Heart” with love Gwen Stefani. “It is the most connected, easily, that you’ve been to a song. I said [earlier to the press], ‘Everybody on my team has had their moment. Tonight is going to be Mary Sarah’s moment on the show.’ And anybody who understands anything about country music knows what just happened up there on the stage. Good job.”
