Dee Jay Silver and his wife, Jenna, wed in January of 2015, but they fell more in love in September of the following year when they welcomed their son Wake Silver Perdue to the family. And from the moment of his birth, they have gushed over him on social media – and for good reason.
The boy is downright adorable!
But as any parent knows, there comes time when mommy and daddy deserve a little bit of a break from the bottles, and the diapers and the early morning wake up times. And when daddy offers to watch the baby so mom can spend a weekend with friends, it’s best to take advantage of it!
That’s exactly what Jenna just did, heading to Miami with some friends for a little celebration.
“When daddy says he’s got the Wakey for the weekend so you GO! ,” Jenna wrote on an Instagram post on Jan. 27 showing a slo-mo video of her running on the beach in a yellow bikini. “Thanks baby! I’m feelin’ 22,” she added, quoting a Taylor Swift song lyric.
Of course, the yellow bikini didn’t just get the attention of a ton of country music fans, but also a number of Jenna’s famous friends’ wives. “I mean, just stopppp with the perfectioness,” wrote Sara Brice, wife of country star Lee Brice. “Did you, or did you Notttt have a baby?”
Jenna’s husband, Dee Jay, and their good friend Brittany Aldean —wife of Jason Aldean — also couldn’t help but throw in some comments about her video reminding them of the good ole days of TV’s “Baywatch.”
But no matter how amazing Jenna looks, it’s the remarks on her next Instagram post that make her so endearing to so many. Caption a photo of a bow-tied Wake, Jenna wrote, “I’m coming for you, baby! (I lasted one night. I can’t hang.) Many mommas feel me on this? I missed my baby so much!”
On Jan. 29, Jenna looked like she was in heaven being home again with her little one, who is learning how to not only swim, but also save himself in the water if he’s ever in danger.
“His lessons are specifically to teach him to survive in the event he falls in any body of water,” Jenna wrote in the Instagram comments alongside a video of his latest lesson. “They’re called Infant Swimming Rescue. Make sure you’re child is taking this specific course. It’s Monday through Friday, 10 minutes a day for 4-6 weeks. He takes this at a local gym, but it’s the specific course that’s most crucial.”
It’s such a good feeling to watch people like Dee Jay and Jenna flourish in their role as parents. Keep doing what you are doing, because Wake looks downright ecstatic to have you guys to call mommy and daddy!
