Some people embrace change, while others dig in their heels and resist it with every fiber of their being. It doesn’t look like singer-songwriter Ryan Hurd was afraid to make a significant change, but some of his fans are a little less excited about it.

In a photo on his socials, the rising country star reveals that he’s made a little trip to the barber shop, and the results are a drastically different ‘do.

While some fans called the cut a “tragedy,” or hilariously noted that he can no longer be called “sexy Jesus,” others, including Jake Owen and hit songwriter Laura Veltz, are giving the hunky Hurd thumbs up on the chop job.

And one fan just needed a minute. Social media user @Felicia5 wrote, “I don’t know how I feel about it yet. Not that it matters because it’s your hair to do what you want with.”

Obviously, the opinion that might matter most to Ryan would be that of his hot fiancée, Maren Morris, who just chopped her own long hair this summer. She replied, simply, “DEAD. 💀🔥”

Gotta agree with you there, Maren.

Whether Ryan and Maren are getting ready for their big walk down the aisle with fresh looks, or they are just into changing things up once in a while is uncertain. But from where we stand, they both still look gorgeous. And it sure doesn’t affect either Maren’s newest hit single, “I Could Use a Love Song” or Ryan’s current smash, “Love in a Bar,” so we’re happy.
