This performance with Heart had Wynonna screaming for more youtube

Country music has had some serious combinations through the years, many of which have come from the CMT Crossroads series. From Bocephus and Kid Rock, to Willie Nelson and Sheryl Crow, to Brad Paisley and John Mayer, fans have eaten this concept up, and for good reason.

Because Wynonna and Heart was one of the best.

If there are two bigger female voices in this universe than Ann Wilson and Wynonna, then we don’t know who they are. With an added horn section and some serious gospel background singers, the CMT-conceived trio came together for a magical evening and really belted out a dandy when they took on Wynonna’s hit “No One Else On Earth.”

With Ann Wilson and Wynonna right in their element trading turns on lead and Nancy Wilson blending her signature harmonies into the mix, the song absolutely killed. But as great as they sounded, it was visually awkward to say the least. Not at all used to being onstage sans guitar, rock guitar goddess Nancy had no clue what to do with herself so she stood, spun and danced looking like the typical guy who only dances at one wedding a year.

No matter. This is music, and when it’s this good, it doesn’t matter how it looks. The rest of the show was one magical moment after another as the ladies took turns on other songs, like Heart’s rock staple “Magic Man” and Led Zeppelin’s “Rock and Roll.”
