Carrie Underwood’s “All-American Girl” is one of her most heartwarming hits, but she took it to a whole new level during this performance in Detroit.
While interacting with the crowd and accepting a ton of flowers and gifts, Carrie spotted an adorable little girl in the crowd.
She said, “I know there are a ridiculous amount of ‘All-American Girls’ in Detroit, but I’m gonna ask right now that one very, very special ‘All-American Girl’ come up onstage with me and help me finish the song.'”
That’s when an adorable girl in a cowboy hat named Haley walked up onstage and melted everyone’s hearts.
As she introduced herself, Haley told the crowd she was 4 years old and went on to tell Carrie and the crowd all about the necklace her mom gave her.
Oh, this video is so, so sweet!
Then you look at the date this clip was uploaded and realize this all happened in 2008. Little Haley is now a young lady, and she’s got this video to help her remember that time she sang a duet with Carrie Underwood.
Speaking of “All-American Girl,” it’s one of the songs featured in the CMA’s new line of greeting cards at Hallmark. Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Craig Morgan and Miranda Lambert are among the other stars featured in the new greeting card line. Each card plays a 15-second sound clip from the featured song. Look for the cards to appear in select Walmart stores in mid-October. They’ll be available most everywhere Hallmark cards are sold by November.
