When country heartthrob Luke Bryan shared the stage with R&B singer Jason Derulo on a May 21 episode of CMT “Crossroads,” it was killer!

And it made us wonder how two stars from opposite genres were able to connect with such great chemistry.

Lucky for us, Luke gave us a behind-the-scenes look into the pals’ interesting dynamic through his weekly webisode series called LBTV.

“It’s always cool to get another perspective, because you have your ways,” says Jason in the video. “You kind of get used to your ways, and then somebody else that’s super talented comes in and does it a different way, and you’re like ‘Oh, I never really thought about it like that.’”

Of course, Jason never thought about putting out a song like “Country Girl (Shake It For Me),” and we can bet that Luke never thought about releasing a jam like “Talk Dirty.” However, both buddies agreed that those songs were similar in nature.

“The fact that it;s two different worlds collided — with some similarities, I think we’re really true to the music that we make,” said Jason.

And, hearing their sweet mashup is actually pretty neat. After all, it’s not everyday we get to listen to Luke’s swoon-worthy falsetto and Jason’s impressive twang!
