Kelsea Ballerini is clearly a woman with a plan when it comes to her music. She’s racked up four No. 1 hits already, and her brand-new single, “Legends,” is on track to hit the top of the country charts, too.

Kelsea is just now wrapping up work on her sophomore album, and she’s just about got it sounding like she wants it. But her next musical project will be a bit more personal. She’s still trying to pick out the music for her upcoming wedding to fellow musician Morgan Evans.

That should be easy enough since they both make music for a living, right? Not so much, says Kelsea.

She tells Rare Country, “We can’t pick a song. We don’t know what we’re going to walk down the aisle to and we don’t know what our first dance is going to be. It’s a lot of pressure. We’re both critical music people.”

So, what about Kelsea and Morgan just writing new songs specifically for the ceremony?

“No,” Kelsea says pretty quickly. “We might ask a friend to do it, but I don’t think we’ll do it. It’s too much.”

Whatever songs they end up choosing for their wedding, we know Kelsea respects Morgan’s taste in music. He recently included her hit, “Peter Pan,” in his mashup of current female country stars, and she was quite flattered.

Kelsea shared Morgan’s video on Twitter with the message, “200% biased, but this is still unreal good.”

Morgan wrote back, “Haha, well thank you. And thanks for not getting mad when I practiced your own song in the house …”

As for Kelsea’s new album, she keeps hinting that there will be some big news on that front in August. Stay tuned.
