One Maren Morris fan got the thrill of a lifetime recently when he was invited to join the rising star onstage for her signature hit, “My Church.”

That handsome fan, Dayton Modderman, reportedly showed up at Maren’s July 14 show in Tampa, Florida, with a sign asking to join her for the song, and then actually got his wish! Once onstage, Maren let him handle part of the song solo, then joined him for the chorus.

Dayton is not only handsome, but also very tall, so he practically had to bend himself in half to reach petite Maren’s microphone.

Afterward, Dayton understandably couldn’t stop gushing about the magical moment on Twitter, writing, “@marenmorris made a dream of mine reality. Thank you, thank you.”

Maren, who was in Tampa as the opener of Sam Hunt’s “15 in a 30 Tour,” tweeted video of the performance and gave Dayton a shoutout, writing, “So, @daytonmodderman, you’re adorable and this was so fun. Thanks for singing!”

Several fans also captured the moment on video.

Turns out, this wasn’t Dayton’s first time onstage. Earlier in July, he retweeted video of himself grooving beside Lauren Alaina while she sang “Next Boyfriend.” Unlike the Maren performance, however, Dayton didn’t get close to the microphone for that one, but rather just danced along next to Lauren while she tried her best not to crack up over his energetic moves.
