Craig Campbell performing backstage at Grand Ole Opry

Country music’s Craig Campbell sure does love his women.

But no, the “Family Man” and “Keep Them Kisses Coming” singer isn’t some kind of tomcat on the prowl. Instead, Craig actually does host a web series on his video channel called “Woman Cover Wednesday” where he covers a female song each week.

Recently sitting in the “Women of Country” dressing room backstage at the Grand Ole Opry, Craig opted for his keyboard as opposed to his guitar as he took a pass at Miranda Lambert’s life-changing song “The House That Built Me.” The rendition was posted on his YouTube account on May 18 and in four days already has been viewed thousands of times!

All you have to do is hear this performance to realize a good song is a good song regardless of who sings it. With Craig’s vocals so strikingly different than Miranda’s, the song sounds entirely different, but no less awesome.

How great is it that a country star, a male no less, makes it a point to go out of his way on a regular basis to shine a light on how great some of our female artists are?
