We all know songs like “Rock-A-Bye Baby,” “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star,” and “Hush Little Baby,” but in the right hands, or with the right voice, almost any song can become a lullaby for a little one. And with the baby boom that just swept through country music in 2017, we’re betting a lot of moms and dads are digging deep into their mental catalog of tunes to come up with just the right number to soothe their babes.

It’s doubtful that Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard had to dig very far to come up with the song he just sang for his sweet little girl, Olivia Rose, but he did step outside of country music and it is A-OK with us! And apparently, it’s alright by Olivia, too.

Tyler’s wife, Hayley, shared a video clip of her hubs perched on a stool near his little one, and as he strums out the chords for the Ben E. King classic “Stand By Me,” you can hear little Liv cooing with delight. Or maybe she’s trying to sing along!

Actually, this isn’t the first time a country artist has picked that particular song as a favorite. Mickey Gilley recorded and released the song in 1980 for the “Urban Cowboy” soundtrack. It is featured in the film and also became a No. 1 single for the piano-playing icon.

Although Tyler’s performance is sweet and gentle, it doesn’t sound like Livvy is getting one bit drowsy. In fact, it seems that the little princess is rather enjoying the command performance and, if she could talk, she’d likely ask for an encore. The moment also provides a nice visual for the ladies who like a bare-chested country star.

It also got us thinking about other country singers who we would love to see and hear singing to their little ones. Maybe they should all get together and record an album of country, pop, rock and soul lullabies.

We could absolutely hear Lady Antebellum harmonizing for their nuggets on Stevie Wonder’s “My Cherie Amour” or Jason Aldean lulling sweet son Memphis to sleep with Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Free Bird.” Oooo, or how about Thomas Rhett singing Billy Joel’s “Just the Way You Are?” Even those among us who don’t have babies might buy a copy if such a project existed.

Earlier in the week, Hayley shared photos of the family enjoying a getaway to sunny California, where Olivia got to spend a little time in the pool with her new friend, Crosby. We aren’t sure whether they have returned to cold and rainy Nashville yet, but even if they have, there appears to be a whole lot of love and sunshine in their home. And we’re hoping there are more travels and adventures ahead for this littlest jetsetter.
