This country heartthrob takes us inside his new marriage Instagram/@samhuntmusic

There are thousands of ladies out there who would love to have a romantic dinner date with Sam Hunt, but he’s only got eyes for his wife, Hannah. The two tied the knot earlier this year, and Sam is opening up about how he keeps Hannah happy within their relationship.

When asked whether or not Hannah would say he’s a romantic guy, Sam tells “Hits Daily Double,” My wife would say, “Not particularly. From a candlelight-and-dinner place, not particularly.”

As you can tell from his song lyrics, Sam more than makes up for that lack of traditional romance with his words and actions.

He explains, “In terms of interacting and engaging, how I listen and try to communicate … I love making her feel wanted, and sexy and safe, all those things. I’m romantic like that.”

As we said before, Sam is fully committed to his monogamous relationship with Hannah.

“There are steps to a committed relationship that you can never reach without it,” Sam says of his commitment. “That’s a lot of it. The general nature of how the male perspective relates to the female perspective, that reflects me, and how I interact with her. The longer I’m in this, the deeper it can go.”

Communicating with Hannah was something Sam had to work on, though. They first met in college, and he had to learn how to talk to her at first.

He recalls their first meeting saying, “She was walking across campus with a few people, and I knew one of the girls she was with. So I went over, and introduced myself. As a young boy who’s wired completely differently, a lot goes into it. Women are way more complicated. A lot of that connection with her really taught me.”

You can hear all about Sam’s connection with Hannah on his latest hit, “Body Like a Back Road,” which has been camped out at No. 1 on the “Billboard” Hot Country Songs chart for months now.
