Country music is coming back to California in a big way with the 2016 American Country Countdown Awards coming up next month in Los Angeles.
It’s the first time a major country awards show has taken place in the City of Angels in more than a decade, and it’s going to be a big one.
Carrie Underwood, Sam Hunt, Martina McBride, Luke Bryan, Cole Swindell, Florida Georgia Line and Thomas Rhett are all slated to perform on the show. Kelsea Ballerini, Dan + Shay and Cam will deliver knockout performances, too. There will be so much star power packed into the two-hour broadcast.
As you’ll recall, the American Country Countdown Awards were launched in December 2014 in Nashville. Reba was honored with the Nash Icon award, and Florida Georgia Line served as emcees.
This year’s show will air live on FOX Sunday, May 1.
