It was a Team Blake performance that we just knew would be good.

But little did we know it would be absolutely amazing.

On the Oct. 26 episode of NBC’s “The Voice,” country music favorites Barrett Baber and Blind Joe went head to head with two country songs that were sure to bring on the emotion. Baber began with his rendition of Zac Brown Band’s “Colder Weather,” ultimately leaving it all on the stage with his powerful performance.

A crowd favorite, Blind Joe then followed up with the legendary country music hit “Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up to be Cowboys.” And while both performances seemed to blow the judges away, coach Blake Shelton was forced to make a decision.

And that decision was Baber.

You may recall that Baber has been a longtime favorite of Shelton, who actually compared him to Garth Brooks during an earlier performance.

“If it’s country soul or country pop or country rap – whatever you are thinking, the word I am interested in is country,” explained Shelton during the September 21 episode. “That’s what I do with my life and I think the combination of you and I blazing a path… I mean, the way you perform on stage – we’ve never seen anything like it. I’m not kidding when I say it’s like watching Garth [Brooks] up there.”
