The moment Wynonna Judd took the national stage for the very first time without her mom by her side

For the first time, Wynonna Judd was on stage in front of a national TV audience — all by herself.

In the seats just below her sat her mom Naomi Judd, the woman who had up until this point stood and sung by her side as the country vocal duo “The Judds,” now holding her other daughter Ashley Judd’s hand as they watched with pride as Wynonna showed what she could do via an uplifting performance of her first solo hit “She Is His Only Need.”

This moment during the 1992 American Music Awards was one that, through the years, remains emblazoned in the memories of Judds’ fans throughout the world, and also serves as a vivid memory for Wynonna herself.

These and many other moments are sure to be reminisced upon during Wynonna’s current “Wynonna and Friends: Stories & Song” tour, with dates running through March 8.

In this unique tour, Wynonna and her band The Big Noise will take the time to look back on the fiery redhead’s impressive 30 year long career and share the stories behind the songs that made her famous.

And she isn’t done yet.

The red-haired country powerhouse recently announced the February 12, 2016 release of “Wynonna & The Big Noise.”
