The legendary Tanya Tucker opened up about what she thought about this recent “The Voice” performance youtube

Some people have all the guts.

And guts is something Team Blake contestant Barrett Baber certainly had to have on the Nov. 23 episode of “The Voice” when he stepped on stage to do his rendition of Tanya Tucker’s 1972 smash hit “Delta Dawn.” While Baber has long been known as one of the top contestants on the competition, it can certainly be difficult to not only impress die-hard fans, but also the artists themselves.

Well, it looks like Baber has no reason to worry, because Tucker absolutely loved it. “Barrett sure put a modern twist on that ole song and sang the fire out those lyrics,” Tucker said in a recent press release. “Very impressive. ‘Delta Dawn’ will always hold a special place in my heart and I am grateful that he chose to perform it in front of a whole new audience.”

With the help of her music being played in front of millions on “The Voice,” Tucker is experiencing a rebirth of sorts as she not only prepares to release a new album, but also tour the country to perform her songs such as “Texas, When I Die,” “Some Kind of Trouble,” “Two Sparrows in a Hurricane,” “Love Me Like You Used To.”
