Life is looking pretty merry for country singer Blake Shelton and his girlfriend Gwen Stefani.
So much so that the two have reportedly been working on new music together once again.
Fans may recall that the cute couple of more than a year and a half released a heartfelt duet in May 2016 titled, “Go Ahead and Break My Heart.” The song, which appears on the country crooner’s 10th studio album, “If I’m Honest,” was their first-ever collaborative musical release.
Now, the lovebirds are reportedly teaming up once more to put out a Christmas song together.
According to “Entertainment Tonight,” Gwen is working on a holiday album, and has already registered some of the song titles with performance rights organization BMI — one of which she co-penned with Blake.
Thus far, Gwen has remained tight-lipped about the details surrounding the project. But, a Twitter page dedicated to her has managed to get ahold of at least five song titles she’s supposedly registered. They include “Christmas Eve,” “My Gift Is You,” “Under the Christmas Lights,” “When I was a Little Girl” and “You Make It Feel Like Christmas.” Gwen has a writing credit on all five.
Blake and Gwen may often be the subject of rumors, but it wouldn’t be a huge surprise if they did come out with some festive music together. After all, they’ve both welcomed the idea of blending their voices at some point. In January, according to “E! News,” Blake called Gwen “an incredible singer-songwriter. Anytime I can get her to collaborate with me, you’re darn right I’m going to,” he said.
If a holiday album does get released, fans can expect it to drop later this fall. Is it too early to start our Christmas countdown?
