Just a few days back, country newcomer Brandon Lee and wife Nicole were attending Luke Bryan’s Super Bowl party looking downright ecstatic. And while we might have thought it was because of their excitement over the big game between the New England Patriots and the Philadelphia Eagles, now we all know better.
These two had a secret!
That secret was revealed onstage at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium on Feb. 6 when Brandon announced to the packed venue that he was going to be a daddy for the first time.
The announcement came during a showcase organized by his record label, Universal Music Group Nashville, during the annual Country Radio Seminar taking place in downtown Nashville. It was also Brandon’s first time performing at the Ryman.
Does it get better than that?
It’s been quite a couple of years for country music artists’ families growing. During that time, it seems as if practically every week there has been another piece of news about new babies joining the country music family, from Jason Aldean and wife Brittany’s new little one born in December 2017, to Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott adding two girls to her family earlier this month.
So much good news to celebrate!
Of course, with this piece of news, 2018 seems to be lining up to be one heck of a year for Brandon and wife Nicole, who was Miss Tennessee back in 2010. The son of a preacher man, Brandon grew up in Jackson, Tennessee, listening to artists such as John Mellancamp, Alan Jackson and Bruce Springsteen. He first got people’s attention with his song “Speakers, Bleachers and Preachers.”
“Between going to church and playing sports, there was always a lesson to be learned,” Brandon has said. “And country music lyrics are all about life lessons. All of that helped me figure out who I am in the world and what I wanted to do.”
Want to check him out this year? Not only will he be hitting the road with artists such as Michael Ray and Old Dominion, Brandon will also be joining country superstar Kenny Chesney on his highly anticipated 2018 “Trip Around The Sun” stadium tour kicking off in April in Tampa, Florida.
Will the baby tag along on the tour bus once he or she is born?
Well, that remains to be seen.
Until then, everyone here at Rare Country congratulates this happy couple. We looking forward to following the both of you on your baby journey!
