We all have that one song that spells Christmas in our home. For some, it’s Alan Jackson. For others, it’s Mariah Carey. And for one of the most popular country groups, it’s the legendary Aaron Neville.
“We start playing the Aaron Neville Christmas album right after Thanksgiving dinner,” explains The Band Perry’s Kimberly Perry during a recent interview with Rare Country during a stop in Chicago. “It’s a tradition. Our mother finds it and puts it on and it starts with the bells and anywhere we are in the house, we come and gather in the kitchen to sing it. It’s something we have done since we were kids. We love that one.”
The Band Perry even gave Rare Country a sample of those undeniable family harmonies during the interview. It’s those same family harmonies that have been on display in so many of their singles such as “Live Forever” and the Christian classic “Amazing Grace.”
