We knew he was working on a record and we knew that with that record might just come a summer tour, we just didn’t know Darius Rucker would spill the beans on late night TV.
“Looking forward to starting the new week with @FallonTonight tomorrow – sharing some big news,” he tweeted Sunday night.
During his appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” Rucker came clean with his plans for the next months, including the March 31 release of his fourth studio country album “Southern Style” and the launch of his “Southern Style Tour” which will kick off on May 14, 2015 in Holmdel, N. J.
So far, Rucker is set to play over 30 dates on the tour, which will include special guest and CMA New Artist of the Year Brett Eldredge, as well as rising country music duo Brothers Osborne and Southern rockers A Thousand Horses.
And while last night’s performance of “Homegrown Honey” didn’t give the former Hootie and the Blowfish front man much time to go into much more detail on his summer plans, it did hint just enough that Rucker fans have much to look forward to.
