Take a look inside Elvis and Priscilla Presley’s spectacular honeymoon pad

Whether you’re in the market for a new home or not, it’s always kind of fun for regular folks to peek into the homes of celebrities. Sometimes we’re treated to the trappings of eccentric lifestyles, and other times we’re reminded of how much like us they really are.

Or how they were in the 1960s!

For example, the honeymoon haven occupied by Elvis Presley and his young bride Priscilla back in 1962 is on the market.

And folks, according to Curbed Los Angeles, that honeymoon lasted for a year! Yes, Elvis paid $21,000 to rent the Palm Springs, California, home from 1966 to 1967.

Now, this 5,000 square feet home has gone through some updates since the ’60s, but there is no denying the architectural trends of that era. The front of the house is cantilevered over the front lawn, and there are four circular living spaces stacked on top of each other, including a swanky bedroom that is in dire need of a round bed and a shag carpet.

As Austin Powers would say, “Yeah, baby!”

The modern structure boasts five bedrooms and five bathrooms, and a 360-degree fireplace. The outdoor space includes a swimming pool and a tennis court.

The best part is that, in 2014, this property listed for $9.5 million and now it’s on sale for a cool $5.9 mil. It’s on sale! So if you’re interested, check out more details here.
