Tanya Tucker has always been known as country music’s resident wild child, and now some of her outrageous outfits can be yours.
That’s right. Tanya Tucker is launching a big auction with more than 500 items up for bid starting Thursday, June 16 at Everything But the House’s website, EBTH.com.
Some of those items, like her custom 1992 pink Harley-Davidson and her 1970s “Delta Dawn” jumpsuit, were recently on display at her 2014 exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame.
You can get a look at highlights from the exhibit here.
A portion of the proceeds from the auction go to Sweet Relief Musicians Fund, an organization that helps career musicians and people in the music industry make ends meet when they’re facing illness, disability or age-related problems.
Tanya says, “A few years ago I went through a difficult surgery on my vocal chords. Fortunately I was in a position to get the specialized care necessary to continue my career, but not everyone is in this position. This is one reason why I’m extremely excited to be working with EBTH to support Sweet Relief Musicians Fund with a percentage of the sale proceeds.”
All of the bidding starts at $1 for each item, but we have a feeling those prices are going to soar quickly for items like Tanya’s white gold and diamond Rolex, along with her script and costume from her guest starring role on “The Love Boat.”
