Take a listen to this adorable 6-year-old vying for George Strait’s attention YouTube

George Strait may have retired from touring, but he hasn’t retired from country music.

And for little Harrison, that works into his schedule just fine.

With Vegas residency shows and more albums in King George’s future, the pint-sized 6-year-old rosined up his bow and tossed his hat in the ring to be part of Strait’s Ace in The Hole band. With this online audition of “Amarillo By Morning,” the little man wants the world, and George, to see what he can do.

We have to say, we’re pretty impressed with everything we see here as it’s clear the kid’s got talent. In addition to some serious violin skills, Harrison isn’t scared to put his vocal chops on display.

If things work out, we’re not sure how homework will fit into the equation with a rigorous concert and recording schedule, but we’re sure Harrison can make it work. After all, he’s been going to school full-time so far and not only did he just start learning how to play the violin a little more than a year and a half ago, but he also impressively learned this song by ear!

Your move, George.
