Sugarland duo gets awfully cozy in this flashback performance we can’t get out of our heads YouTube

Even though Sugarland continues its hiatus, both Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush remain adamant it really is just a break for the duo and that they haven’t permanently broken up. We hope they begin recording new music sooner rather than later, so we’re taking a trip down memory lane to their 2005 hit “Settlin'” from their album “Enjoy the Ride.” Performed roughly 10 years ago for AOL Sessions, the chemistry between the duo is obvious on that stage.

Jennifer and Kristian are keeping themselves busy though. Jennifer just announced that she would be releasing her second solo album in May, and well Kristian, he’s an overachiever by definition. Think about this — the man plays nearly half a dozen instruments, has a blossoming solo career, and is one of the most in-demand songwriters in Nashville.

And that’s just today.

In the ’90s, he was half the folk rock duo Billy Pilgrim, which released a few albums and charted a few AAA rock singles amidst artists like Smashing Pumpkins and Indigo Girls. He’s also a studio owner and dabbles in producing work for other artists.

It’s pretty damn amazing when you think about it because while music is a tough career to break into, nearly everything Kristian has ever tried has worked out.

See what happens when you don’t know how to settle?
