Steven Tyler just made an incredible announcement about the future of his country music career Associated Press

When Aerosmith rocker Steven Tyler roared onto the country music scene in May of 2015 with his song “Love Is Your Name,” fans of the genre only had one word on their mind.

Yet, when fans listened to the song, watched the accompanying video, and saw him perform it with gusto on last year’s finale of “American Idol,” most country music fans felt that the rocker deserved his chance in Nashville. He made good on that chance, with “Love Is Your Name” reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Country Streaming Songs chart and the video garnering more than 10 million views to date.

So in case you were wondering, he isn’t going anywhere.

Tyler announced today that he will release his second country single on Friday, Jan. 22 on all digital outlets and on Monday, Jan. 25 for country radio. Titled “Red, White and You,” the song was written by Tyler, along with co-writers Nathan Barlowe, Levi Hummon and Jon Vella.

Both of Tyler’s country songs will be featured on his full country album, which is set for release later this year.
