After the tweet was shared, hundreds of thousands of people became aware of the sad story, in which Rachael had gone missing June 22 after leaving her parents’ home to travel to a campsite 50 miles away where she planned to vacation with family.

And now on July 6, the ending of this sad story can finally be told. According to various media reports, Rachael has been found alive. “In the early morning hours Rachael Lynn Mattice returned to her Johnstown address after being gone for approximately two weeks,” remarked Sheriff Karl Abrams with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office in a prepared statement. “She is currently being medically evaluated at a local hospital. She appears to be in good condition.”

And while Shania herself has not yet commented on the latest developments of the case, we can safely assume that she is thrilled to know that one of her biggest fans is back home where she belongs.
