It’s the song that will live forever, and it damn well should.

It’s hard to believe that Lee Ann Womack’s smash hit “I Hope You Dance” is old enough to drive a car. Hands down this country queen’s signature, career-defining song is every bit as poignant and wonderful as it was the day we first heard it back in 2000.

On July 28, 2016, Lee Ann, along with the songstress Rachel Platten, took to ABC TV’s “Greatest Hits” stage to combine their angelic voices on Womack’s hit. Rachel, known for her latest single “Fight Song,” takes turns with Lee Ann swapping out lines in the lead verse, as well as taking turns on the chorus.

After just one verse and chorus, the pair continued on to slide right into Rachel’s other single, the 2015 hit “Stand By You.”

While we were absolutely in love with their impeccable performance, we would be remiss if we didn’t comment on how stunningly gorgeous these women are. While Rachel looked great in her black pant ensemble, Lee was a show-stopper in her short black dress with those dynamite legs!

Keep singing ladies, because the world definitely needs more from the likes of you two.
