Scotty McCreery celebrates the New Year with one gorgeous engagement party Instagram/@scottymccreery

It looks like Scotty McCreery and his fiancée, Gabi Dugal, will be all set for next Christmas. The couple had an engagement party/Christmas ornament exchange party in their hometown of Garner, North Carolina, on Jan. 5. The theme was “Winer Wonderland,” and Scotty and Gabi were all smiles posing in front of their first joint Christmas tree. Scotty’s mom, Judy, posted this picture of the happy couple at the party.

It’s truly been a wonderful holiday season for Scotty and Gabi as they gear up to tie the knot in 2018. Scotty couldn’t contain his excitement about the upcoming nuptials when he tweeted on Dec. 31, “I’m getting married this year!”

We’ve also gotten a first look at Scotty and Gabi’s engagement photos. He posted this adorable shot of the two of them in a field sharing big looks of love on their faces. Scotty’s caption says, “I can’t wait to do 2018 (life) with you.”

Scotty also enjoyed a round of golf with his future father-in-law.

And the food is great when you’re hanging out with the Dugals. Her family hails from Louisiana, so Scotty gets the benefit of eating really good, authentic gumbo. You can see just how good it looks in this photo.

The wedding isn’t the only big event Scotty has planned for this year. His highly-anticipated new album, “Seasons Change,” is coming out March 16, and you can pre-order it now at

The lead single from that project, “Five More Minutes,” is closing in on the top 10 at country radio this week. Scotty co-wrote every song on the new project, and he says it really captures what’s been going on in his life for the past few years.

He says, “It’s kind of my journal of the last few years: the ups and the downs. Whenever I think things are not going well, I’ve learned to just wait it out because the seasons change. If you want to know who I am and where I’m at right now, listen to this album. I feel like I’m having a conversation with everyone that listens. It’s that personal.”

We can’t wait to hear it all, Scotty!
