Sam Hunt just did a cover of Little Big Town’s “Girl Crush” that is going to blow you away YouTube

Since it’s release back in 2014, everyone and their brother have done their own version of Little Big Town’s monster hit “Girl Crush.” The song’s powerful lyrics paired with its subtle yet strong backbeat is something that provides the perfect setting for some powerhouse vocals.

But Sam Hunt’s version of the song just might be the most powerful of them all.

Taking the song to all new heights with a male voice, Sam performed his rendition at the AIMP Awards on April 18, and blew away not only the audience, but also Little Big Town themselves.

“Loving Sam Hunt‘s version of ‪#‎GirlCrush at the AIMP (Association of Independent Music Publishers Awards last night,” the group said on their Facebook page on April 19. “Congrats to Hillary Lindsey, Liz Rose and Lori Mckenna on AIMP Song Of The Year.”

Just a day earlier, Little Big Town received word that their groundbreaking song had been certified double platinum, meaning 2 million or more in sales, by the RIAA.
