Joey+Rory fans have always known that life would be somewhat of a struggle for dear Indiana, as she will have to live the rest of her life without her loving mother by her side. As fans may recall, Joey Feek passed away after a valiant battle with cancer in 2016.

However, in a Facebook post on April 3, many fans were reminded that Indiana’s struggles don’t stop there.

“…hole-in-her-heart checkup this morning at Vanderbilt,” Rory captioned a Facebook picture of Indiana lying on a hospital bed in Nashville with a technician holding a medical device over her chest. “Closing. Thank God.”

It is heartwarming to know that all is well with Indiana, who has made so many strides over the past year, including taking her first steps all by herself. As many fans know, Indiana was born with not only Down syndrome, but also a hole in her heart.

Of course, these various health challenges have never slowed the father/daughter team down. In recent months, Rory released the movie “To Joey, With Love” and wrote the book “This Life I Live: One Man’s Extraordinary, Ordinary Life and the Woman Who Changed It Forever,” both of which can be purchased here.
