As the relationship between Miranda Lambert and Anderson East nears its two-year mark, rumors are flying that the adorable couple will be engaged before 2017 comes to a close.

Citing a source it described as an “insider,” “E! News” is reporting that Anderson wants to propose before the end of the year. The same unnamed source describes the couple as being “extremely serious” about one another. “They understand each other on a deeper level.” the source told E!. “Miranda feels every day like the luckiest girl.”

The couple began dating in late 2015 and has been nearly inseparable ever since, separate tour dates notwithstanding. In interviews, including a current cover story with “Billboard,” Miranda has been candid about the happiness she’s found in the relationship with the soulful singer/songwriter. Anderson has been equally complimentary of his award-winning girlfriend. Both have been quick to gush on social media about their affection for one another.

Anderson recently celebrated his 30th birthday in July with Miranda by his side. Reflecting on his day with gratitude, he posted photos on Instagram writing, “I have the love of an amazing and kind woman.”

Miranda also commemorated the day on Instagram with a message saying, “He owns the stage and he owns my heart. Thanks @andersoneast for inspiring me in so many ways. You are a light that could outshine the sun. I love making memories with you.”

This year alone, Miranda’s already made plenty of memories, making history at the 2017 ACM Awards by winning her eighth consecutive Female Vocalist of the Year prize, and earning Platinum RIAA certification for her ambitious double-disc set “The Weight of These Wings.” Will she cap 2017 with a diamond? We’ll just have to wait and see.
