Reba takes fans behind the scenes of her musical collaboration with Jennifer Nettles

It’s a view seldom seen by the average country music fan. But once you see it, you realize just how much hard work goes into producing a killer song.

Recently, country legend Reba McEntire gave Taste of Country a behind the scenes look into the recording of her song “Enough” and revealed just what it takes to turn lyrics and a music sheet full of chords into a hit song. Accompanied by Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles, the song is just one of the many amazing musical offerings on Reba’s latest album “Love Somebody.”

“This is the same subject matter, about two women in love with the same man,” Reba told Taste of Country of the song which she compares to her 1993 collaboration with Linda Davis on the song “Does He Love You.” “I asked Jennifer Nettles to do the song with me, and she said yes, which I’m so thrilled that she did. She’s got a beautiful voice with a gorgeous range, and we just had a blast in the studio. It’s very unusual that we got to sing at the same time. Sometimes when you do duets, you’re recorded at different times or in different cities.”

“I am being really cool right now on the outside, but I told her I’m not feeling cool on the inside, because I’m so excited!” Nettles added. “It’s awesome, and it’s big, and it’s fun. I’m excited to be here.”
