If ever there was a passing of the torch, this could very well be it. Try as you may, but it’d be difficult to find any artist who can deliver a more pure, traditional country song better than Randy Travis or Josh Turner.

You’d also be hard-pressed to find a country artist more spiritual than Randy or Josh as well.

Regardless of whether you’re talking about a commitment to another person or faith in a higher power, the words “forever and ever amen” are as deep a promise as you can make. It doesn’t matter if you fulfill that promise every day or if you happen to slip from time to time. People make mistakes and forgiveness is a word for a reason.

What matters is commitment, faith and promise. The pursuit of perfection even though we all know perfection is something that will never be attainable.

Randy Travis and Josh Turner are two people that know this in very different ways. Both men are believers. So, when they joined forces in 2006 on CMT’s “Cross Country” to sing Randy Travis’ iconic 1987 song, “Forever and Ever Amen,” it was pure and it was magical.
