While many folks subscribe to the philosophy of “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it,” others feel the need to shake things up every once in a while. It’s almost like a nudge to personal evolution.

We’ve already seen that happening in country music super-duo Florida Georgia Line. The longtime pals, who shook up country music as the linchpins of the bro-country movement, have come a long way from their debut smash, “Cruise.” In 2016, chart-topping songs like “Confession,” “H.O.L.Y.” and “May We All” with Tim McGraw revealed a lyrical depth and musical maturity that fans had previously only seen a glimpse of in their 2015 hit, “Dirt.”

But, it isn’t just musically that Florida Georgia Line is showing change and growth.

Well before the day that most of us resolve to make personal changes, the duo’s Tyler Hubbard has done exactly that. After a break from social media for a few months, he bared all — literally — to announce he had returned. He then shared the way he’s embracing the saying, “new year, new you,” in a series of Instagram posts. He begins with joining his beautiful wife, Hayley, for a yoga session. While Hayley appears to be super limber, Tyler is a little more knotted up. He writes, “It’s safe to say I’ve got a long way to go. Always trying to get better.”

A day later, T-Hubbs shared a selfie with Hayley in Hawaii, where he adds, “Oh, i forgot to tell y’all…I cut my hair.”

The new look suits the handsome singer-songwriter and, from the smile on Hayley’s face, she’s pleased with the results, too.

Tyler and Hayley spent Christmas with family in Hawaii, but Florida Georgia Line returns to work at the end of January when they hit the road again, starting in Tallahassee, Florida on Jan. 27.
