He’s got his 14-year-old nephew, Til, busy with summer football workouts, and his youngest two boys, Bo and Tate, are busy playing on their farm just south of Nashville.
In an interview at rehearsals for the CMT Music Awards, Luke said, “We have their friends come over in the pool. They’re wanting to go fish. They’re wanting to go ride around the farm. Caroline and I are in the midst of that trying to work it all out and the logistics of running kids to baseball, football and stuff.
On top of that, Luke just gave Bo and Tate their summer buzz cuts.
In an interview at rehearsals for the CMT Music Awards, Luke said, “It’s a tradition where they buzz their head. Til’s 14. He wouldn’t let me touch his head, and I didn’t want to fight him over it.”
So, how do Luke and his wife, Caroline, keep all those moving parts running smoothly?
“You know, communication and talking it out and having a game plan and trying to execute it,” Luke explained to CMT. “I sound like a head football coach. That’s pretty much what you are. Caroline’s the head coach. I’m the sideline coach. So yeah, we just try to have fun with it.”
