It’s getting harder and harder to read the headlines or watch the news. It seems that every day, a tragic event has hit some part of the world — terrorist attacks, civil unrest, flooding and drought. With the recent shooting in Las Vegas, it’s almost too much to bear.

But there is comfort in numbers and in the wake of these terrible tragedies, social media lights up with words of despair, anguish, encouragement and prayer.
