Country music superstar Miranda Lambert and her musician boyfriend Anderson East have always been pretty private about their romance, but that doesn’t mean they’re not still going strong.
In fact, Anderson recently opened up about his two-year relationship with the Texan-born country star and shared his secret to keeping their love alive.
“There’s a true admiration there and a large level of understanding on both sides, for sure,” Anderson told “InStyle” of the couple’s successful romance.
Fans already know that both Anderson and Miranda tour regularly. That can certainly put a strain on any relationship — especially since celebrity lifestyles can get pretty demanding under the best of circumstances. And even though they’re far from being the first two artists to spark up a romance together, they certainly seem to have the art of compromise down to a T, which makes them perfect for each other in our eyes!
“It’s always difficult to be a traveling musician and still keep things together,” Anderson, who released his new album “Encore” on Jan. 12, admitted. “Understanding is a huge factor.”
As previously reported, Anderson is currently on the road supporting that new album. His “Encore World Tour 2018” kicked off one day ahead of the album release with a sold out show at New York’s Bowery Ballroom. The trek will also take him to American cities like Houston, Los Angeles and Chicago, as well as overseas in Germany, Sweden and the U.K. before the tour wraps up in May.
Even though Anderson’s out on the road, Miranda made sure to show her support for her beau on Instagram, ahead his Jan. 12 appearance on NBC’s “Today” show, where he performed his single, “All On My Mind,” from “Encore.” Anderson didn’t talk about “All On My Mind” with “InStyle,” but he did chat about writing his new single “Girlfriend” with Swedish musician Avicii.
“It was very impulsive. There was no premonition of it,” he said of writing the track about a man having a desire for someone else’s woman. “What was actually supposed to end up being a writing appointment ended up turning into a whole session.”
And, when asked if the song was inspired by Miranda, he shut that idea down. “It was something tongue-in-cheek that made us laugh. We were just trying to amuse ourselves,” he said.
Miranda is set to launch her 2018 “Livin’ Like Hippies Tour” very soon. And, even though the trek may take her away from her man, she’ll have plenty of company. In fact, Jon Pardi will join her on the tour for all dates. They will also be joined by Brent Cobb, Turnpike Troubadours, Lucie Silvas, the Steel Woods, Sunny Sweeney, Ashley McBryde and Charlie Worsham for select dates of the tour.
“All the opening acts are my friends and bands that I love. So, I get the best of both worlds,” Miranda previously told Rare Country. “I get to hang out with Lucie Silvas and also watch [her] onstage. So, it’s going to be really cool. We have different opening acts for every weekend almost. So, it’s fun.”
Miranda’s “Livin’ Like Hippies Tour” begins on Jan. 18 in Greenville, South Carolina, and is currently scheduled to run through March 24 in Winston Salem, North Carolina. In July and August she’ll be on “The Bandwagon Tour” with Little Big Town. Fans can visit Miranda’s official website here for a full list of tour dates.
