It’s a big assumption on our behalf, but it’s a strong possibility that Miranda Lambert likes animals more than people, at least most people. One of the exceptions would be her close gal pal Carrie Underwood. The pair have collaborated musically on the hit single, “Somethin’ Bad,” and they’re known to hang out backstage at award shows, concerts or wherever they happen to be together.

It makes sense, doesn’t it? They’re both incredible animal lovers with Carrie opening her home to two precious pups — Ace and Penny — while Miranda has rescued and helped adopt out more pups than we can count. Both of these beautiful blondes have also raised money for animal shelters, rescue pets and to educate people on responsible pet care. Miranda has done so through her MuttNation Foundation and Carrie through her CATS (Checotah Animal, Town and School) Foundation.

Ran took it a step farther this summer when MuttNation released its own line of pet toys, leashes, collars, bedding and apparel, which she is obviously excited about.

Another thing she was excited about was watching her friend win the CMA’s female vocalist of the year award on Nov. 2. If you were watching, Miranda was the first to her feet to applaud Carrie’s win, breaking Ran’s six-year reign in the category. Of course, Carrie had previously won in 2006, 2007 and 2008.

So, what does one proud friend send her BFF when she wins that coveted CMA honor? Roses? Champagne? Some sweet trinket or photo from a fond memory?

Not in this case.

Miranda hit Carrie right in the feels when she sent a goody basket filled with MuttNation gifts for the Underwood/Fisher fur babies, Penny and Ace. Carrie shared a photo of the sweet gesture on her Instagram page, thanking Miranda and calling the toys and accessories “super sweet and super cute.”
