Miranda Lambert may hang her hat in Tennessee these days, but her heart remains back home in Texas. You can see that Texas connection is still strong in this new video Miranda made for a young cancer patient in the Lone Star State.

Young Tatum Schulte has been battling osteosarcoma in her leg and spine since 2015. The going has been rough for her lately, so Miranda sent a video message to help lift her spirits.

Miranda says in the clip, “I heard you’re a big fan and you’re a Texas girl. I just wanted to tell you hello and that my thoughts and prayers are with you, and that you’re tough and brave just like a Texas girl should be, and I’m sending you all the hugs and kisses in the world.”

As you can see from this reaction video, Tatum had a big smile on her face and let out a few squeals when she saw Miranda’s video for the first time. She yelled out, “Oh my God,” and “Miranda Lambert” as her family played the clip for her. It was a sweet moment.

Keep Tatum and her family in your prayers. She’s been moved into hospice care, and her family members say they are “praying for Tatum to remain comfortable, for complete understanding and for a miracle!”
