In the midst of tragedy and hardship and an unknown feeling about the future that lies ahead for the victims of Hurricane Harvey and its aftermath, there is hope.

And Miranda Lambert just found that hope in the form of an adorable group of new puppies.

“My roommates tonight sure are cute! Mama and newborns that were born this morning,” Miranda wrote in an August 29 Instagram post that showed the beautiful new doggies. “I’m calling her Ashley after @ashleymonroemusic who just had a baby herself. @muttnationfoundation rescued 72 dogs today who are being transported to dry, safe shelters across the country. Thanks for yalls support. Stay tuned tomorrow and continue to pray.”

Indeed, Miranda’s Muttnation Foundation is hard at work in the South’s hardest hit areas, rescuing some of the storm’s littlest victims.
