It’s a New Year, and Miley Cyrus and her handsome fiancé, actor Liam Hemsworth, couldn’t appear to be more in love! But, that doesn’t mean that the happy couple is ready to rush down the aisle.

Earlier this week, multiple reports suggested that the two lovebirds secretly got hitched over the holidays during a romantic vacation in Byron Bay, Australia.

Now, Liam’s brother, actor Chris Hemsworth, is shutting down those rumors once and for all.

On Jan. 16, the elder Aussie star visited SiriusXM Radio’s “Sway in the Morning” show and set the record straight on the couple’s love life, saying, “No, they are not officially married.”

Even though Chris confirmed that Miley and Liam haven’t yet become man and wife, he did share his opinions on his future sister-in-law.

“I always just expect her to put on a show, and bang a few songs out, but she never does,” he joked. “I’m insisting constantly, ‘When is the performance coming?’ But no, she’s a lot of fun.”

Perhaps Miley is just saving the big performance for her and Liam’s impeding wedding. After all, you’ve got to expect some sort of sweet serenade from the Tennessee-born songstress, who co-penned the emotional, romantic ballad “Malibu” for her man. And we can only imagine that Chris will have a sweet toast prepared for Liam and Miley’s future wedding reception when the pair decides to actually exchange vows.

Chris also said that he hasn’t offered any words of advice to his baby brother about marriage just yet, but he did retrieve some input from his mom for himself about relationships.

“I’ve asked my mom about marriage and kids and [she] said, ‘Look, we’ve been doing it for a long, long time that if there was an answer to it, and a way to do it properly, we’d have it figured out,’” he said. “’There would be one book that says “Here’s how to do it.”‘ No, he doesn’t need my advice.”

Fans may recall that Miley and Liam first started dating back in 2009 after meeting on the set of their romantic movie, “The Last Song.” In 2012, Liam proposed to Miley, but the two called off their engagement and split a year later. In 2015, they rekindled their romance, and have been going strong ever since.
