Matthew McConaughey's story about how George Strait's boots helped him with the ladies will make you laugh

At the 2009 ACM Awards, actor Matthew McConaughey told a humorous story that involved a bar in Tyler, Texas, a few young ladies and George Strait’s boots.

“We have an exclusive contract with George Strait. We custom make his boots,” McConaughey and his brother told girls at a bar when the question came up about what they did for a living.

“The point of the story is, we got lucky that night. Thank you George.”

But what’s better was Carrie Underwood’s follow up.

On stage to accept an award, she says, “I don’t know what to say. I got nothing…Um, I want to see those boots, Matthew.”

The whole crowd cheered.

The story doesn’t end there though. Next year at the same awards, McConaughey had a special surprise for Miss Underwood.
