On a hot night in June, Martina McBride walked onto the stage at Nashville’s LP Field looking hotter than ever.

Not bad for a 50-year-old.

Of course, her sexy look was for a reason, since she was about to join none other than rocker Steven Tyler in a duet of his chart-topper “Cryin’.”

“I was at home and I got a phone call and he says, ‘Hey Martina, this is Steven Tyler,’” Martina told Rare Country during a press conference before her CMA Fest performance. “I’m like ‘what?!?’ I immediately put it on speakerphone, told my daughter that it was Steven Tyler on the phone. We just kind of sat there as he talked. He is incredibly engaging and interested and has this passion for life that’s contagious.”

In this sneak peek of their much-talked about performance that will be featured on the “CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock” special, these two music legends’ passion for their music is clear and hotter than ever.

Martina and Steven join a number of artists that will collaborate on the show, including Rascal Flatts with Maren Morris, Dierks Bentley with Elle King, and Little Big Town with Pharrell.

CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock airs at 8 / 7c on Wednesday, Aug. 3 on ABC.
