At this point, we hope that everyone knows that the teasing and joking that goes on between Blake Shelton and Adam Levine, or Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan, or Blake Shelton and pretty much anyone is just that—a joke.

Blake is actually a big teddy bear, and the proof is in his Fan Moment of the Year nomination at this year’s Rare Country Awards.

Or you can take Luke’s word for it.

Backstage at an “American Idol” taping, Luke told “Access Hollywood” how he felt about his bro’s newest title of People magazine’s “Sexiest Man Alive,” and his answer wasn’t short on the obligatory jokes.

“Yes, I’m getting my own pillowcase of the Blake Shelton ‘People’ cover,” Luke joked.

Luke also said, “I do want to go on the record, because I did kind of roast him a bit. They leaked it out to me first, but then the whole world got it, and the whole word started kind ragging on Blake. I’m like, ‘Did I start this thing?’”

The big-hearted Georgia boy went on to say, “I’m happy for him. He embodies country music. He embodies a different class of men, just a different type of guy. He’s not your quote/unquote ‘go to the gym every day, washboard abs pretty boy.’ He’s just a man’s man.”

Props to fellow “Idol” judge Katy Perry though, who, after being asked if she had ever been the sexiest woman, answered, “Who cares? Who votes? The people or a magazine? It’s about the people. All I care about is how I think about myself, and that’s all you should care about, too.”

Preach on, Sister Katy Kat!

We don’t have a sexiest anything alive nominated for a Rare Country Award, but both Luke and Blake have multiple nominations and it’s up to you, the people, to pick the winners.
