Luke Bryan and his wife, Caroline, welcomed their nephew, Til, into their home in 2014 after the boy’s father, Ben, passed away. Luke’s brother, Kelly, died in 2007, leaving Til and his two older sisters behind with their father. It was a tough blow all around, but Luke says Til is thriving as an older brother to Luke and Caroline’s younger sons, Bo and Tate.
Because of Luke’s broken collar bone, Til even stepped up to carry a very sleepy Tate from the truck up the stairs to his bed to tuck him in.
Luke tells “The Tennessean,” “They’re coexisting as real brothers. It makes it a real household, which is all we can want to do for him and obviously his sisters, too.”
Til has found his place at school playing sports, too.
It seems that ability to welcome people into their home and make them feel welcome runs in Luke’s family.
He says, “I grew up in an environment where my family hosted people for dinner all the time, and we just loved watching people have fun.”
Look for Luke to help get the party started at The 50th Annual CMA Awards coming up Wednesday, Nov. 2 on ABC. He’s up for entertainer of the year, which he’s won the last two years in a row.
