Luke Bryan and his wife, Caroline, will celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary this December. When they tied the knot, Luke was just starting out his country career. Now, he’s the reigning CMA entertainer of the year playing sold-out stadium shows across the country. Plus, the couple is raising their two boys, Bo and Tate, as well as their teenage nephew, Til.

What a difference a decade makes!

Luke says, “We look back on what has happened in the last 10 years, and it’s like, ‘Gosh. It’s like we’ve lived a lifetime of emotions in 10 years.’ It’s pretty remarkable.”

So, what’s the secret to a happy marriage? Luke thinks it has something to do with just rolling with the punches.

He says, “I think that evolves every year with your first year of marriage is a cake walk. Then you throw a couple kids into the mix. Then you throw some more kids into the mix, and then you throw a successful country music career in the mix. Then you gotta throw medication in the mix. Naw, I’m playing.”

Also, Luke and Caroline have learned that spending time together and really communicating with each other is key. They’ve also learned to avoid unnecessary stress, which they experienced a few years ago when they decided to start multiple building projects on their farm south of Nashville.

“We had a barn being built and a guest house and a main house and renovations,” Luke recalls. “Don’t do that. Go find a house you like and move in it!”

Luke will be heading out from his homestead to perform on his 2016 Farm Tour, starting Oct. 5 at Culler Farms in Gaston, South Carolina. His brand-new, first-ever Farm Tour EP, “Here’s to the Farmer,” will be released digitally on Sept. 23.
