Luke Bryan’s world kicked into overdrive the week he released his new album, “What Makes You Country.” You can get a glimpse into the madness in this new episode of his web series, “LBTV” he just released to close out 2017. The man was moving non-stop playing shows, meeting fans and making some big TV appearances.

On the way to his first appearance, Luke looks into the camera and says, “It’s gonna be a fun week. Lots of great memories. It’s been a great year. 2017’s been a hell of a year, it’s been a busy year. Probably the busiest. 2018 — probably busier.”

That’s good news for fans who seriously can’t get enough of Luke’s live shows. His “Huntin’ Fishin’ and Lovin’ Every Day Tour” was voted Tour of the Year in the second-annual Rare Country Awards, and we know those fans have already snatched up their tickets for his “What Makes You Country Tour,” kicking off Feb. 16 in Springfield, Missouri.

During the launch week, several lucky fans got to see Luke perform songs from his new album in very intimate venues. One interviewer asked Luke if he enjoyed those smaller shows.

He replied, “As long as I feel good, and my voice feels good, I’ll perform anywhere, anytime, any place. I just enjoy being onstage. So, playing a small venue, it has its challenges. Intimate setting — I love it. I love being a little closer to the fans.”

These smaller gigs gave Luke and his band a chance to try out some of the new songs from “What Makes You Country” for the very first time.

Luke says of trying out new songs, “It’s always touch and go, because the band just learned ’em. None of it’s second nature yet. It’s always fun when you’ve got a few performances of new songs. That’s the fun in performing, too. Trying the new ones and seeing the fans react and seeing if you’ve got something special.”

He adds, “I’m just excited for fans to hear this chapter of my artistry and my life.”

One segment with the band is especially sweet. When “What Makes You Country” went on sale online, all the guys downloaded a copy and showed it to Luke. He says with a smile, “My band bought my album!”

He ends the crazy week in New York City with his big performance on ABC’s “Good Morning America.” The show broadcasted live from the brand-new Opry City Stage venue in the heart of Times Square.

We now know all that effort paid off for Luke in a big way as his album, “What Makes You Country,” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart. It’s his third consecutive album to bow at the top of the overall chart and his fifth to debut at No. 1 on the Top Country Albums chart.

Luke is now enjoying a bit of downtime with his family. He’ll kick off 2018 with his annual Crash My Playa concert event Jan.17 – 20 in Riviera Maya, Mexico. His buddies Blake Shelton, Sam Hunt, Dustin Lynch, Maren Morris and Brett Young are also performing at Crash My Playa this year.
